I have the honour to acknowledge

the receipt of your Despatch No. 84 dated the 28th. April
setting forth in detail the steps that have been taken
towards the establishment of a scheme of visual instruction
to Colonial School children on the United Kingdom and the
Defences of the Empire and to thank you for the attention
that has been given to this matter.
2.
The further proposals connected
with the scheme with regard to which you invite an expres-
-sion of my views are, I understand, as follows:-
(1.)
That the unexpended balance (£65)
of the contribution of this Colony (£300) shall remain to
the credit of the fund established to carry out the scheme.
(11.)
That the lectures and slides that
have been prepared shall be adapted for the use of other
